THE MARC JACOBS PALETTES
I have enjoyed using these two palettes since I ordered them back in December. I purchased the 206 THE LOLITA palette first and immediately fell in love with it, so I hurried back to the Sephora Online Store to purchase the 202 THE TEASE palette. They both come in a very nice slim sleek shiny black compact, with MARC JACOBS embossed on the cover. This overall packaging is very appealing and I must say that it was a great marketing strategy by the Marc Jacobs Company, beautiful. Each compact comes with its own pouch which also has MARC JACOBS monogram and has a snap closure to safely secure the compact from being scratched or dusty (lol). When I first opened the Lolita palette, I was in awe at the whole packing and than nearly fell off my chair when I open the compact to reveal the colours, OMG their gorgeous. For a few days I would just open the pouch then ever so carefully slide the compact out and open it just to look at the colours. Well that lasted for a couple of days and I finally jumped right in and started testing the colours. I also can not decide which palette is my favorite, as they are just as gorgeous and elegant, I’ll make a definite decision on that after a few more months. Totally off the point here, but I just spritzed in some of the MARC JACOBS fragrance in DAISY and wow that is nice. Okay, back to my story.
The 206 LOLITA palette consists of 7 shadows all together. Three are matte colours in cream, nude & dark brown; two shades are a sheen in peach & rose; one iridescent champagne pink and the last colour is my favorite of the palette and is a metallic pink with iridescent glitter.
The 202 THE TEASE palette also has 7 shadows which are just as fabulous as the Lolita palette. This palettes colour are one purple sheen; two matte colours in a grey purplish & light pink; one iridescent champagne sheen; one metallic pastel pink with gold shimmer; one gorgeous bright light purple (my fav!) and one dark purple with iridescent shimmer.
Both palettes are amazingly pigmented and each colour plays off the next to a very nice finish. They are all long lasting and true to colour. If you already have these palettes in your collection already, then you know what I mean by excellent colour pay off and long lasting. Another, must have. I would say that these two palettes are my fav high end palettes and can be purchased online or in-store at Sephora’s. That’s all for today, until next time stay beautiful 🙂
