I attended my first VIB ROUGE event this morning at the Kingsway Garden Mall. 20140330-194651.jpgOn Thursday I received an email informing me that I was invited to their VIB ROUGE Spring Social and would receive 15% off my purchase, all I had to do was register. We’ll I did just that and received confirmation right away. I set my alarm for 7:00 am and and arrived well before they open their doors. 9:00 sharp the doors opened and one of the Sephora ladies came out to give us a brief talk about what we would expect once we walked through the doors. She said that their were specialists from Tarte, Dior as well as sephora staff on hand to assist us with any questions that we may have. Once that was out of the way, she started to check us in and as I was the first to arrive I was the first one into the store, so cool.

I spent the next hour and half testing, spritzing, swatching and talking with the staff about the YSL, Dior, Marc Jacobs, NARS, Laura Mercier cosmetics. TODAY, I purchased my first YSL Lipstick and wore it all day, colour #4, 20140330-193630.jpgI absolutely love it. I also purchased 2 Urban Decay 24/7 liners in Asphyxia and in Vice. I just love their staying power and colours are gorgeous. I picked up from the Marc Jacobs line a blush in Proactive (orangey colour) and foundation in Beige Deep. I never tried any Marc Jacobs blushes or foundations so I’m anxious to see how well they compliment my complexion. I did receive a colour match session from one of the specialists on hand which was nice, never had this done. From the Buxom line I choose a lipstick in Swinger and a20140330-194754.jpg Lipgloss in Trixie and I already love as I have purchased their lip glosses before.

At checkout I was given a Sephora cosmetic bag and a bag of samples. Now I’m at home taking pictures of my haul for you all and hope you enjoyed reading about my experience today, I throughly enjoyed my first ever VIB event and look forward to the next. I will do a quick review next week to let you all know what I liked and why I liked each product.

So until then, stay gorgeous.
