Is the PIXI Correction Concentrate…
I’ve tried a few correctors this year but the Pixi Corrector Concentrate has been an excellent find. There are two shades and I chose the Awakening Apricot which is a light peach shade and the other is more pink. I have light under eye darkness and most times I don’t need a corrector but for the days when I do need a little something, I use the Pixi corrector.
Prior to this I used up the peach shade in the NYX 6 pan corrector palette. I didn’t mind the NYX but I found it a little drying so I was on a hunt for another drug store brand corrector.
I stopped by London Drugs and found a small Pixi display which had the setting sprays, eyeshadows and the one shade of corrector. I think I paid something like $20 for this little glass pot of corrector in Awakening Apricot.
When I started using it I noticed that it was very light shade of peach which is just what I wanted. After using it for about a month, I found that it was not drying but very emollient and hid my dark circles. As I said earlier, I don’t have dark under eye circles, so I don’t look for anything too darkening. The Pixi was just the right shade and hid what needed to be disguised. I was very impressed and need to pick up a new one.
One downside to this product is the way it breaks up in the jar when it just about done causing it to dry up. Other than that, I am saying that I’ve found my perfect corrector, but that doesn’t stop me from checking out other correctors.
I just picked up the Maybelline MasterCamo and thought I’d give this a whirl. It is a much darker shade of peach, however, if I only use a smidge it’s okay. It blends outs nicely, however, I felt like it was drying my under eye area. I’ll still use it and see what the drying situation is about but for now, I’ll stick with the Pixi brand.
