Excuse me?  Anyone know why Sol De Janerio named their cream the Brazilian Bum Bum Cream?  I’d really love to know… Anyway, moving forward….

I purchased this product back in November during the Sephora 20% VIB sale just as a “what the heck is this all about” purchase. I’ve heard so many youtubers rave about this cream, that it is so amazing and everyone needs to have it in their stash. Well, my arm got twisted and I now have it in my stash. It sat for a month waiting for me to use it, not sure why I didn’t open it right away, guess maybe it didn’t interest me at the time.  But then again it could have been all the other products that came in at the same time and i paid more attention to those products.

Anyways, like I mentioned, I didn’t crack this open right away, it was in early January 2018 that I finally said to myself, “open the darn thing now”.  As I was opening it, the first thing I noticed was the AROMA, man oh man, if your a person like me who do not like heavily scented products, then this may not be for you.  However, I toughed it out and thought to myself “you just spent $57 on this product and you are darn well going to use it”. So I showered and continued with my night time skin routine and took the Bum Bum cream (cant help but laugh) and applied it… dang, what was I waiting for?

This product is so smooth and made my skin feel so soft and yummy… the only thing that kinda turns me off is the scent. Dang though, it’s awesome. However, I really struggled with the scent and end up not using it for another couple of weeks. After that, I’ve not looked back and I look forward to applying it. The texture is so nice and creamy and I love the way it leaves my skin and I have even gotten used to the scent. I can’t even describe in words what the scent smells like but if I had to describe it, I would say that it smells like a coconut smoothie… lol, I don’t know. Now I know what all the hoop.laa is all about, it makes my skin feel very nice and looks fabulously young looking, is that possible?

If you have not tried the Sol Taneiro Brazilian Bum Bum Cream, take it from me, a real skeptic, you need this in your life… Treat yourself to a spa type sensation and youthfulness, you will never look back… mmmm hmmm…. 😊

Makeup Geek is Fabulous!

Sometimes I Just Can’t Get Enough…

mug logo

I am totally in love with Makeup Geek Eyeshadows and are my absolute favorite.  They are versatile, creamy, buttery, come in a wide range of colors and finishes and best of all the price is phenomenally affordable!

Marlena is the founder and CEO of the Makeup Geek Cosmetics.  I also love that she offers educational tutorials that teach people, like me, how to apply makeup to create a variety of looks.  Best of all, when I visit her website, MAKEUPGEEK.COM, I find a wide variety of cosmetics that she has developed from eyeshadows to cheek blushes.  Marlena is constantly developing more great products and in my opinion, are the best of the best and are always better than the last.

Monsiiuer Alex’s Review

I have been watching Monsiiuer Alex’s YouTube Channel for awhile now and have come to enjoy his opinion, his reviews and his tutorials on a wide variety of cosmetic products.  He is one of those no nonsense, tell it like it is and all round honest guy with a fabulous personality. One aspect I like about his channel, is that he includes his Mom when needs a fabulous stunning model to demonstrate the products.. She is absolutely gorgeous.

I was snooping around on You Tube wanting to watch reviews on the new NARS Dual Intensity Blushes and I was delighted that Monsiiuer Alex had a review on them.   I really enjoyed his informed presentation on these amazing blushes and will be definitely purchasing a few as soon as I’m done writing this post.

If you are looking for an honest opinion about these products then he’s your guy.  I have attached his video link and encourage you all to head over to his channel, check out his videos and subscribe, you won’t regret  It.

A NARS Makeup Day!

Yesterday I started writing a post about the fabulous look I came up with using all NARS products, however, I accidently hit the Publish icon before I was done writing and editing it and took it down as fast as I could.  Now that I have some time to myself and I can pull my thoughts together, I can now redo my blog post from yesterday.

I have a good selection of NARS products that every woman should have or I would even recommend that you start with these two palettes from the very beginning, they are that fabulous.  I did a good job of pulling my small NARS collection together for this look, however, I did need to pull out a couple other products to complete this look.

I started out using:

  1. MACs Prep n Prime as I do not have a NARS face primer base.. oooppsss
  2. NARS Eye Base Primer
  3. NARS All Day Luminous Weightless Foundation in Barcelona.  I received a sample from Sephora and fell in love with it and have since ordered it and I’m anxiously waiting for it to arrive in the mail.  Dap Dap Dap…I’m waiting….
  4. I have been enjoying the NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer in Custard but I feel it’s a bit to light.  I need the next shade up. IMG_0619
  5. Next I pulled out the big guns… two palettes that go together like cookies and milk:
    • the NARS Virtual Domination Cheek Palette and used Laguna Bronzing Powder for my contouring and the “Sex Fantasy” Cheek Blush…Oh I love the way this adds a nice color to my cheeks with just a few passes of my brush.  Saaawwweeetttt!  Of course, I used Albatross for highlighting and a dab of “Miss Liberty Highlighting Blush” on top, like I didn’t have enough hightlighting on, but it brought everything together….. Saaawwweeettteerrrr! nars 9
    • Then for my eyes I used the NARS NARSissist Dual Intensity Eyeshadow Palette.  Not really much to say except that “IM ADDICTED” to this phenomenal palette.  I mean, WHAT THE… I can’t stop using this palette, it’s that fabulous.  I wish I had eyeshadows like these to use back in my day. 6. I could have been done after steps 1-5 but nope, I used the NARS Light Reflecting Pressed Setting Powder to set every beautiful product in place.
  7. My brows I used the Anastasia Dip Brown in Medium and for Mascara I used Tarte’s Light’s Camera Lashes.

There you have it, all the NARS products that I used for yesterday’s look, with a little help from MAC, Anastasia and Tarte.

I hope you enjoyed my post today and look forward to writing about whatever I feel fits my motto “BEAUTY NATIVE STYLE” tomorrow.  Until next time, stay Fabulous. 🙂

IMG_3452OMG!  Love these brushes!

IMG_0105In 2013, WAYNE GOSS launched his new Holiday Brush right before Christmas and I only heard about this awesome news only after it was too late and all his brushes were sold out.  Of course I was a wee bit annoyed and disappointed at myself for missing out on the most amazing event of the year.  Then I tortured myself even further by reading reviews and watching YouTube videos by people who were lucky enough to add his brush to their collection. They raved about how fabulous and exquisite the brush was and that it applied makeup with little effort.  Some described the brush as being very versatile, luxurious and beautifully made and hand crafted.   Man oh man it was brutal to continually hear how amazing his holiday brush is that I broke down and purchased my first set of Wayne Goss brushes that came in a set of 8 brushes from Beautylish.   Even though I had this gorgeous set, I still thought about the one that got away, lol.  So you can imagine how ecstatic I was to learn that he would be releasing the holiday brush again this year.  I immediately went to the Beautylish website and got on to their “EMAIL ME” list that would allow me to reserve a brush during his Global wide event and I must say this was a very intense time for me.  I was notified by Amy from the Beautylish team that I could now make my order.  It only took a week for me to receive my order and after one year of thinking that I had missed out on this brush, I treated myself  to not just one brush but two brushes. I ordered one in Black for last year and one in White for this year.  I can not say how much I have been enjoying my brushes as there are no words that can describe my happiness.  Everyone that wrote a positive review was right and have been enjoying my makeup routine to its fullest.  These brushes are simply amazing and I have 2.  It is true, that as one becomes more comfortable with their makeup application so does their comfort level at using higher end brushes.   These brushes apply product more efficiently and smoothly and I have been using them non stop for the past couple of weeks and loving.IMG_3458

Wayne really out did himself with these brushes and I have never met him but I am certain he is just as genuine in person as he is on his videos.

I also want to say thank you to Amy, Alicia and Nils at Beautylish for making my online purchasing experience simply amazing.  Amy and Alicia’s attention to customer service was simply superior and Nils final follow-up email to ensure that everything was okay with my purchase and if I had any questions or concerns to contact Beautylish any time.

Thank you Wayne, simply amazing.

My last post for the 2014 year.  Good Luck in 2015 to all my readers and their families.  🙂

sigma brushes

I was recently given the opportunity by Tiffany at to review 2 Sigma Brushes of my choice and of course, I chose two Sigma Tapered Blending Brushes, the #E35 and another is the #E40.  I was so excited to learn that I would be receiving these two brushes and that I was to give my thoughts on them.  Now that I have my very own Sigma Blending Brushes I feel like my make up has been applied by a professional.  Lets just say I love the way the #E40 brush applies the product to my eyelids with just the right amount of product and if I want to build, its possible and the results are amazingly precise.  The #E35 brush is soooo soft and fluffy and feels like and fairy is applying my makeup every so gently, seriously its soo soft and blends out the color excellently.  When I opened up this brush for the first time, all I did for the first few minutes was swipe it back and forth on my eyelid and examined the brush itself.  Each brush has the shiny Sigma logo on both the handle and ferrule.  So beautiful.  I am recommending that if you are planning to add a new blending brush to your collection, definitely try out the Sigma Brushes at Obsessed Look, you will be happy with the purchase.  I’m so happy that my first experience with Brand Name Brushe would be with Sigma…ahhhh how awesome is that.  Anyway, the short of it is that I use the #E40, to apply my eye-shadow in my crease and then I blend it out with the #E35 and the end results are fabulous.
